Good afternoon my friends! Here's an authentic PC-98 Remix of "Maiden's Capriccio ~ Dream Battle", Reimu's boss theme from Touhou 8 "Imperishable Night"! So long story behind this remix, I originally wanted to just do Love Consultation (the previous video) but I realized that Maiden's Capriccio is *the* song people think of when they see Reimu, so I had to remix it. (It was also a good excuse to yet again highlight gorgeous pixel art)

Touhou 8 is licensed to Team Shanghai Alice

(Note: You'll need the accompanying .PZI file to properly play the file)
Compiled with PMD, Prototyped with FMPMD2000, Recorded with FMDSP/Neko Project

fun fact, this video failed to render over three times on like five different university computers before finally allowed me to successfully render (let's just say my hatred for premiere pro has never been stronger)

In all seriousness it's a very good interpretation of IN maiden's capricco into pc98 style and sounds surprisingly distinct from LLS maiden's capricco

I remember having this same idea to do the Touhou 8 versions of Reimu's and Marisa's Themes back when I was doing PC-98 stuff semi-seriously. I think I was going to label them something like "The most pointless arrangements I've done" or something like that lol. Kind of crazy to see someone do it now nearly 6 years later.

Lol a song in Imperishable Night that was based off a song from LLS which is a PC98 game being remixed in PC98 style. We have come full circle here
