This is part of a series of simple, sometimes-festive but always-cosy videos to take us all the way through December, up to Christmas Day.

(*Except this advent calendar series, which is not on Early Access, because advent calendars need to be a surprise!)

Intro music is Christmas Village by Aaron Kenny - from the YouTube Audio Library

Thank you for sharing these intimate moments with us, Shrimp. It's a real privilege to join you in them.

I feel like a lot of your videos are showing how to appreciate and savour the simple moments in life- something I definitely need to do more!
Also, yay for fluffing the tree branches!! My partner thinks this is a frivolous step but I always insist on doing it!

Jenny is so talented, the garland is so lovely! And yes, enjoying the process of putting the tree together and then up, is for me part of the joy of the season. Thank you!

This was so peaceful. You two have such a harmonic atmosphere around you - watching you decorate for christmas gave me the feeling that everything is going to be okay.

It’s wonderful waking up each morning knowing there is going to be a new Atomic Shrimp video. It brings me such joy and comfort knowing I can rely on Mike to give me a great start to my day. Lovely to see Jenny too, thanks guys! Xx

I am going to decorate a tree outside with nuts, seeds, fruit and berries, so I can watch the critters enjoy Xmas.

Thank you for another lovely shared experience. We haven't got the tree and ornaments out of the attic for years, felt too old and arthritic for such efforts, but watching you and Jenny doing it was utterly charming and nostalgic. Please tell Jenny that her sewing is much appreciated by a fellow hand stitcher, and how much her presence adds to the pleasure of us watching. Truly grateful to both of you, the world is a better place for having you in it.

Very sweet. I especially enjoyed you admiring, and showing off, Mrs. Shrimp's hand-sewn ornaments. We used to get live trees, and when it was my turn, I would always pick the Charlie Brown tree, because I figured no one would want it and it would be sad. We us a fake tree these days.

That made me feel quite emotional. I love decorating for Christmas - not to look like a magazine, but to enjoy all the memories of the ornaments, most of which have meaning as I or the now-grown kids made them (making ornaments has been a tradition in our home), or we bought while traveling, or we received as gifts. Very few of our ornaments are generic baubles these days -- reflecting how much time has passed and how many wonderful memories have been made. Anyway, I'm a little teary, but in a good way. Thanks for sharing your lovely Christmas tree and garland.

I'm still hoping one day we get a Mrs Shrimp channel with some shirt making or other Shrimpish crafts!

This was a bittersweet watch. My dad died recently in September, but was born and raised in Norfolk, England (though all his children were born in the US). We recently went through his estate to get it ready to sell, and the most emotional were his Christmas things. Even the smallest things had meaning. This felt a little like I had my dad back for a bit (different accent, but hey ho!) so thank you.

Who needs mindfulness sessions when you can share the joy of each moment with Mr Shrimp?

Really loving the Atomic Shrimp Advent Calendar! Didn’t manage to plan for an actual advent calendar this year so it’s been a treat following along with this! And my husband is going to attempt to make us Festive Breakfast tomorrow, which shall be interesting since we’re not British so mincemeat is a bit of a foreign concept to us. Thanks for sharing your festive endeavors!

Mr. Shrimp. This video brings me great joy. I was the one who received the family ornaments when my grandmother passed. I cherish each and every one of them when we put them up each year. Thank you so for bringing tears of Joy and letting us share the Holiday with your family. Give an extra pat and treat to Eva from us!

I like the idea of hanging up Christmas cards.

I always appreciated a well decorated Christmas tree. As a child i could lay on the couch, in my footie pajamas, for hours just watching it twinkle. It was only after I became old enough to be trusted to help decorate without breaking anything precious that i understood exactly how magical the transformation process is. it added a depth of feeling to the Holiday display that i still marvel at to this day. Thank you for inviting us into your home to share in the Shrimp family festivities.

When our children were small we used to take them to the local garden centre so they could take in the atmosphere and then choose just 1 special Christmas tree ornament each. This became a traditional family thing until they hit middle teens when it became deeply uncool. I kept a list of which ornament belonged to which child.
