Thank you soooo much!! You saved me! This guys language (way of speaking English, I mean) is what I understand. NOT what those professors and weirdo teachers speak!

That was incredibly helpful!!! You made it simple to understand instead of using some complicated wording. And, great skills on PowerPoint or whatever you used:)

Not really sure the probabilty of the sun rising in the west is 0. Let's assume we have a magnetic pole inversion, North become South, and South become North, then East become West, and West become East, then sun will rise in the West. I guess we can say that the probability of the sun rising in the West given a magnetic pole inversion is 1, which mean the probability of the sun rising in the West cannot be 0 (from Bayes' rule). But I guess it's just anecdotic :D

Hi, I liked and subscribed incidentally, I have a question. Let's say 2 soccer teams are going to play each other 3 games. Each game they will both use a new goalie (changing the percentage chance of winning each different game). Day 1, Team A has a 42% chance to win, Day 2 A has a 48% chance of to win, Day 3 a 34%. Now, no day did team A have a 50%, or better, chance to win, but what are the chances Team A will win at least 1 of 3 games? Thank you

I enjoyed your video, but you have a couple of issues...
1. If you flip a coin 1000 times, you are not likely to have 500 heads. It is the single most likely outcome, but in fact it is highly unlikely[around 2.5%]. If you think about it, that makes sense...there are so many different outcomes that all of them summed will way outnumber the specific outcome of 500 to 500. Extend your logic...if we flipped the coin a trillion times, do you think it is very likely to come out exactly 500 billion to 500 billion? What you really want to say here is that the more trials you conduct, the closer you will get to the expected value[Law of Large Numbers]. That is, if you flip a coin 1000 times you are more likely to approach 50% of each than if you flip it 10 times. If you flip it one trillion times, you will come wildly close to 50%[but almost certainly not exactly 500 billion each].

2. The last statement about probability only governing random events... one definition[a simple one] of probability is the likelihood of an event. We can certainly express the likelihood of Blue Runner winning, we just may need a little more information. I think what you are driving at here is that each outcome may not be equally likely. You may have to adjust your prior...perhaps you are a closet Bayesian.

Can someone explain to me this question? What if the person picking the jellybean decides that they are going to pick the largest jellybean they feel because they are under the impression green jellybeans are bigger. Does that change the original probability of 1/4 or 25 percent?

The probability of drawing a blue card is Why? because they were not shuffled adequately but you may have a heart attack before you draw a
card

Great tutorial. What about if a coin flip was to land on its edge. This then distorts the 50/50 probability hmm.
