Why You Should Start Drawing

Previously I have done a video for people who want to start drawing, but with a lot of new subscribers from experimental videos I wanted to introduce people uninterested in drawing to why they should start drawing.
This video reiterates a few things from previous videos,, but in a perspective for someone who has little knowledge about drawing or art.

Video footage:
Videvo, Pexels

Music:
Punpee - Oyome ni Oide
E's Jammy Jams - Book Bag
Kevin MacLeod - Crinoline Dreams
Kevin MacLeod - Gymnopedie No. 1
Kevin MacLeod - Long Stroll
Remigai - Acid

"I'm too old to start now" is only a good excuse if you're literally dead.

In my opinion knowing how to draw isn't the talent. The dedication, time investment and effort you put into your skills is the real talent.

Dudes and dudesses, know that Vincent Van Gogh started painting at 27. And died at 37.

It's never too late as long as your heart is still pumping.

For music: practise for 40 hours a day
For art: draw for one week everyday

The thing about "I wish I started 5 years ago but now it's too late"...

If you don't start now, five years from now you'll be thinking the same thing; that's... how time works...

For those guys who says "It`s too late to start", just know

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.

I’ve recently picked up guitar, piano, drawing and now I’m learning Korean. The realization that I’m 24 and haven’t done a damn thing with myself kinda killed me for a second but it’s been a few months now and I’m feeling confident.

I started drawing 4 years ago, this year I'm launching a 6 series of children's books called Pop & Cocky. I'm 43.
Drawing has been so rewarding it has taught me so much.

A pointer for beginners: you will always think your art is disappointing. I’ve been drawing for years, but lately I’m trying to improve on the basics. Anyhow, no matter how good you get at art you will always think yours is bad. Just remember how much you’ve improved since the beginning. Look back at your old art and see how much you’ve grown. That’s what matters. That you’re trying, and it’s working. Keep going, and you can only get better!

I absolutely love the learning part of art. You draw something, learn and go back to it and go “OHHH, that’s what was wrong” It’s truly an amazing feeling.
