It might cripple gogeta little bit imo, but for others whose unique gauge fills only once, its gonna be a problem for those units

have some ability's that activate only once when the gauge is full, like plus 20% to damage or defense (uncancellable) or lose 2 dragon balls, etc. then have lesser abilities that keep activating when the gauge is full like 20% to damage or defense for 10s or reduce enemy ki by 20. This way when facing units with single fills like Cell you get the one-time buffs and the lesser ones once, and then for Gogeta you get the same buffs really quick but also the lesser buffs keep reoccurring so that you can more dampen his unique gauge abilities rather than completely shutting it down. for Gogeta, getting reduced damage received and damage inflicted for like 10s and/or maybe a 3-5 second lock I think would be good on a green defense character, this would hopefully make the new unit just good vs other units, but really good at walling and countering Gogeta. this could make players very careful about just attacking to fill the gauge and would give a good counterplay to him.

also for the LF, why not DBZ Broly, goes with the new zenkia Goku, movies, and powerful opponent.

Maybe that unique gauge cooldown is something about a new character unique/main ability? Maybe a Jiren character will have that

Well I understand why DBL is doing this but at the same time I was expecting UL characters to be busted units. Once this gets put into motion UL characters with the unique gauge will be almost useless in PVP mode that goes for the eventual MUI goku too because he’s mostly likely to get a continuation gauge also. With this cool down UL characters with the gauge might as well just be a SP skin.

Would be interested to see the meta change once this nerf takes place, but idk I guess mono purple will come dominate again

Yeah fr let's just see what Legends has in surprise for us. But for me though, for this month the LF will definetly be either a super saiyan Bardock (or a transformable Bardock where he powers up to super saiyan) Janemba or SSJ3 Goku from the Hirudigan movie where his dragon fist is LF. These are my predictions, as it has been very movie-based recently in Legends, and also the new F2P frieza has not long been released, so maybe this is hinting that the OG Bardock may get an LF? I grinded hours after spending all of my cc on GV, but I managed to get 12k cc and got UL gogeta to 8 stars . It will be so bad if he got nerfed so soon .

Dude i literally pulled nothing more than one copy of ultra Gogeta from the festival. Nothing else i spent all my savings on Goku and Vegeta and got shafted but if they really want ultra Gogeta to lock his gauge then I'll be out of the meta

I think saying a anti-unique gauge unit is the wrong answer is stupid. Also there are 5 uniques. UI goku, LF perfect cell, SOH trunks, ultra gogeta and tag team GV.
1) ultra gogeta wrecks no matter what. Even on color disadvantage. He hits as if he has the advantage and that’s insane.

2) taking away dragon balls and making it harder for him to get a dragon rush is a weak idea. He doesn’t need the rush when he kills units in 3 hits.

3) they would probably make this mechanic limited to a weak character which makes it pointless anyway. You wouldn’t want to use the anti-unique unit if he only served to stunt gogeta for 10 counts.

3) the Meta needs to balance the field somehow
