DISCLAIMER (Of course, I'd have one 😁)
Hey, you might think that this info makes me your lawyer, but it doesn’t and I’m not. Sorry, but I AM NOT YOUR LAWYER unless we have an engagement agreement. I am just providing public information here, like a library does, and am not providing you with legal advice about your situation. So, it would be totally unreasonable for you to conclude we have an attorney-client relationship just because you're viewing this information.

If you’re guilty…you need a lawyer. If you’re innocent…you REALLY need a lawyer

TV shows and movies have conditioned so many of us to think that exercising civil rights is only for the guilty.

When someone requests a lawyer or won’t let police search them without a warrant, that’s always portrayed as them having something to hide.

Dont forget that if you're being interrogated, everything you say to police before your lawyer arrives is still admissible for them to use as a statement if you've been issued your Miranda warnings and have acknowledged that you understand those rights. It's not like the movies and TV shows where requesting a lawyer means the cops can't ask you questions. Also if you don't fully understand your Miranda rights, don't say you do. If you do understand them and acknowledge you do, great. Have them call your attorney or a public defender if you don't have an attorney, and be sure to practice your 5th amendment right until your lawyer is present. Your attorney will help you to understand what and what not to say to police. An attorney will ensure that you are not making any statements that could possibly look incriminating, so that's why it's important that you don't answer questions until your attorney is present.

Better to look guilty from home, than to look innocent from jail.

Unfortunately, in court if you're sitting in the defendant chair, to the jury that automatically paints you as guilty to alot of people. For that reason and the unreliability of eyewitness testimony, it says to me the justice system is extremely flawed and will jam you up any chance it gets.

I’m about ready for the case to be that the beat of some song is the same as another in 300 BCE.
