Is Jesus God?

You're in a conversation and someone says, "Jesus was a good teacher, but he wasn't God."

What would you say?

Many people instinctively like Jesus, but they’re not ready to call him God. They want him to be another Moses, Confucius, or Buddha. They want him to be just a wise human teacher. Here’s the problem: Jesus didn’t leave that option open to us. He unambiguously and repeatedly claimed deity, and no one who lied in that way could ever be a good moral teacher.

So, the next time someone says “Jesus was a good teacher, but he wasn’t God,” here are three things to remember.

First, Jesus claimed to be God again and again.
Second, if we can’t trust the gospels on Jesus’ claims to be God, we can’t trust them on his moral teaching, either.
Third, if Jesus wasn’t God, he couldn’t have said the things he said and still be considered a good teacher.

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

No, Jesus is not God and here is why.

God is One God. Jesus is a prophet of God. God gave David the Psalms, Moses the Torah, Jesus the Gospel (NOT the politically fabricated Bible we have today) and Muhammad the Quran. He also gave the message to other prophets we have not heard about. All preached the same message, to worship the One God and devote religion entirely to Him alone, and commemorate only Him. A mistake Muslims and Christians make is commemorating Muhammad or Jesus in prayer. Make no distinction between any of the prophets. And say not 3 (the trinity), this is just polytheism in disguise. God is One God and He would not have to “beget” a son. To say so is to ascribe animal qualities to God. High is He above what they ascribe to Him. Indeed, Jesus was of miraculous virgin birth, and that was a miracle no different than the creation of Adam who was also produced without a father: when God wishes a thing He only says to it “Be” and it is.

But most do not like pure unadulterated worship of God alone because most are not true believers. Rather, most are disbelievers because they reject God outright, ascribe lies unto Him (such as having a begotten son), or ascribe partners unto Him.

May God guide the few who worship Him alone with due worship, and praise him with due praise, and enjoin right and forbid wrong, to Gardens of Eden beneath which rivers flow, to abide therein eternally.

1 Timothy chapter 2-5-6
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. This scripture reveals all in one and let’s my heart not be troubled.

“I am He who testifies about Myself, and the Father who sent Me testifies about Me.” So Jesus said, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me. And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.””
‭‭John‬ ‭8:18, 28-29‬ ‭NASB

I am confused because Jesus said that he was the Son of God. I found this: In The Encyclopedia Americana we read: “Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”—(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L.

Why did Jesus have to pray to his father? Did he pray to himself? Jesus died, God can never die. Who resurrected Jesus, himself? Why did he say “the father is greater than I am”? He said “the father and I are one.” In the sense they both have the same goal. Mark 13:32, RS: “Of that day or that hour no ones knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Of course, that would not be the case if Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were coequal, comprising one Godhead. And if, as some suggest, the Son was limited by his human nature from knowing, the question remains, Why did the Holy Spirit not know?) Aso he said John 14:28, RS: “[Jesus said:] If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.”

I have never heard in a christian church (orthodox, catholic or protestant) the claim that Jesus is God. Where is this false debate coming from? The christian belief is that Jesus is the Son of God, sent as a prophet. He lived on Earth as a man, giving us a benchmark as to how we should live after the will of God, with the capabilities that we are given as humans. He underlines that we are all sons / daughters of God (and God is our only Father). Throughout the Gospels, He always underlines that He is there to accomplish God's will, not His own. He prays to God all the time. He indicates that there are things that He doesn't know, only God does. The Holly Spirit is the matter of God, not a person. As Jesus says, God gives Holly Spirit to those who ask. When Jesus says "I and the Father are one" (John:30), He explains that He means they are fully conected, of the same mindest, on the same wavelengh.

By the power of God's Holy Spirit, the Word of God is made into flesh and blood. Therefore, God the Father, calls His Word that became Flesh, Begotten Son.

Jesus is God? Yes
Jesus' name is The Word of God, and The Word of God is God, and was with God from the very beginning.
How? Let Scripture explain.

*In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the *Word was God*
John 1:1, KJV.

" He(Jesus) is the *Image* of the Invisible God*, the Firstborn over all creation. For by Him(Jesus) all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. *All things were created through Him(Jesus) and for Him(Jesus).” Colossians 1:15, KJV.

"In the beginning *God* created the Heaven and the Earth." Genesis 1:1, KJV.

"He(Jesus) was clothed with a vesture(robe) dipped in blood and His name is called *The Word of God*" Revelation 19:13, KJV.

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
My Father, which gave them to me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE." John 10:27-30, KJV.

Jesus said unto them, verily, verily, I say unto you, before Abraham was, *I AM*"
John 8:58-59 KJV.

"And *God* said unto Moses,  *I Am That I Am*: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel *I Am* hath sent me unto you." Exodus 3:14, KJV.

*For there are 3 that bear a record in heaven, The Father, The Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these 3 are 1*. Isaiah 9. KJV.

"If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, HAVE I BEEN SO LONG TIME WITH YOU, AND YET HAST THOU NOT KNOWN ME, Philip?" John 14: 7-9, KJV.

"Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. BELIEVE ME THAT I AM IN THE FATHER, AND THE FATHER IN ME: or else believe me for the very works' sake." John 14:10-12

So God created with His Word? Yes
And He saves with His Word? Yes.
Why did God send His Word to save the world?
Let Scripture explain:

"For as by one man’s (Adam’s) disobedience, many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s(Jesus's) obedience, many will be made righteous.” Romans 5:19, KJV.
“For since by man(Adam) came death, by Man(Christ)also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ, all shall be made alive.” 1 Corinthians 15:21 KJV

John chapter 1 verse 14: "AND THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Matthew Chapter 1 verse 20: "Behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him (Joseph), in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for that (Christ) which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit."

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call his name *Emmanuel*, which being interpreted is,
*GOD WITH US*."
Matthew 1:23, KJV.

"For unto us a *Child* is born. Unto us a *Son* is given, and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called *Wonderful* *Counselor* *Mighty God* *Everlasting Father* *Prince of Peace*
“Isaiah 9: 6-7, KJV.

John chapter 3 verse 16: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Jesus is the only Way, Truth, and Life? Yes

John chapter 14 verse 6: "*Jesus said to him, ” I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME*.”

" I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that *I Am He*, ye shall die in your sins. Then said they unto Him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, even the same that I said unto you from the beginning." John 8:24, KJV.

"Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know Me, nor My Father: IF YE HAD KNOWN ME, YE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN MY FATHER ALSO." John 8:19, KJV.

John 13:31-32 KJV
Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in Him. If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.

Who Is Antichrist?
The truth is, if your God is not Jesus, then your god is satan, no matter what name your religion gives to your god. All athiests are also under satan's domininion, and are heading to hell. There is no gray area. Either you are for Christ, or against Christ. Jesus is the only Way. All who are not on the Jesus way are destined to hell, unfortunately.
Turn from the broadway which leads to destruction and enter unto the path of Jesus or Saviour.

1 John 2: 22, KJV. " Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ?
*HE IS ANTICHRIST, THAT DENIETH THE FATHER AND THE SON*

YES, Jesus is undoubtedly God. It was "God's" blood that was shed on the Cross. (Acts 20:28) And it was "God" that was manifest in the flesh. (1 Tim. 3:16) Jesus plainly declared He was God Almighty. (Rev. 1:8)

Jesus the way to God
He said You need to repent (change your ways and turn from sin) and then follow him …as He is the way back to God .
Believe on and follow the Son of God and you will be saved !
Rom 5:10  For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
Rom 5:11  And not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the reconciliation.
Rom 10:9  Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.

I'd say the Father is God.

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Believing Christ is God is not believing he is the Son of God. It denies both God and his Son.

Jesus calls Himself GOD: 🎉 🎉🎉
Luke 17:15-19 👇👇👇👇
"Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back,  praising God with a loud voice;  and he fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving HIM thanks. Now he was a Samaritan.  Then Jesus answered,  “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine?  Was no one found TO RETURN and give praise to GOD except this foreigner?”  And he said to him,  “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.” 👈 😍

No, Jesus still is exactly what the Apostles recognized him as being.

Matt 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
Matt 16:14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
Matt 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
Matt 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Jesus called himself, the "Son of Man", i.e., the son of Adam, a human. The Apostles also clearly affirmed his humanity by saying he was, "the Messiah" (Christ, Anointed Man), the "Son of the Living God", the Royal descendent of King David. The Jews were all expecting a Man, like Moses, who would deliver them from their enemies. This Man would be SENT by God, he would not "go" on his own initiative. When was Jesus "sent" to the Nation of Israel? Not in 4 B.C., not at the age of 12, not at the age of 25, but at the age of 30 years. He APPEARED to Israel around the year 27 A.D. and as their Messiah he did those things which His Father, Yahweh God willed.

The Authors of Holy Writ never refer to Jesus as Yahweh God nor as a Divine Being of any kind. The supposed "Divinity" of Christ cannot be EXTRACTED from the Scriptures, it can only be INJECTED INTO the Scriptures. Apologists are experts in INJECTING their presuppositions INTO the Scriptures. If the Bible portrayed God as a "plurality" of Persons, then even a Fifth Grader would be able to see it and there would be no need for "apologists". Why do we need Apologists to EXPLAIN who God, and who Jesus are? We don't. They are needed to EXPLAIN the 4th Century apostate "Christian theology" of the Greco Roman catholic "bishops", to History ignorant Modern-day Christians.

Being a Christian myself, I feel very sad why people can’t understand that there is only one God. Jesus is not God, he is very divine, God chose him for our salvation. He is born of Virgin Mary. God chose him and through his name we receive Holy Spirit!! Jesus is resurrected that is truth, he is seated at right hand of God the father is truth and will come again to Judge the living and dead truth. But God is God!!
