The seafood thing is for royals during foreign engagements. Shellfish especially. It spoils easily, and they don’t want to risk being unable to perform royal duties due to food poisoning. She isn’t banned from wedges. The late Queen didn’t care for wedges, and Catherine didn’t wear them around her much out of respect. But she definitely wears them.
