From the complete abandonment of conversation to the incredibly brazen question he asks me at the end, I’m disappointed I didn’t leave sooner. But hey! It sure makes for one heck of a story.

The pets portion of the story reminded me of one of the worst Bumble dates I've been on. I met up with this girl for coffee and she lied about her age and looked nothing like her photos. That wasn't the worst part, she admitted she has 6 children and said "but we don't talk about them." and then randomly she told me she has over 300 pet fish and photos of each one. And proceeded to show me every fish. We finished our coffees and she said "well that was nice, but you didn't seem to own any fish so I don't like you, won't be talking to you again." And drove off.

I once went on a date with a guy where all he did was stare at me and watch me eat. I basically interviewed him because he didn't talk at all, just stared at me, and I felt guilty that he payed for my food, but he insisted. It was strange. After, he just drove me back home in silence, while, I, again, talked to him. I tried to be really cheerful and happy in disposition and he was completely different in-person than he was when he was talking to me through text. THE STRANGEST DATE, I've EVER been on.

I’ve been on bumble for a time like since it first came out and let me tell you, the quality of men that has been on there since I started versus now has gone downhill so much it’s not even funny. Like at this point people download these apps with the intention just to hook up completely disregarding the meaning of meeting new people just because and being inconsiderate to people that are seriously attempting to find a significant other. It’s awful.

The more I hear such dating stories, the more I realize how blessed I am with my ability to start a conversation out of nothing, and keep it going for as long as I want... be it with a stranger at a gas station, or a date with an awkwardly quiet girl. I can break the ice with almost anybody, and sometimes I'm a chatter box.

One time, I went on a date with a girl who wouldn't stop talking about herself, and I mean WOULD NOT STOP! And, every time I'd take that quick breath you take before you wanna say something, she'd go back at it again, before I can throw a word in. After 30 minutes of blowing my ears off, she has the audacity to say "So, are you gonna start talking or do I have to carry the conversation? Cause I've been carrying the conversation here, and it's kind of a turn off." Bro, what conversation!? It was just you talking, and I stopped listening after like 9 minutes.

I had so many things to say during her 30-minute presentation, but she wouldn't stop talking. After she said this, my mind was blown away, she destroyed the vibe, and my level of attraction to her went from 90% to like 3%. I said "No, I have nothing to say to you, and I won't be turning you on." She then, out of the blue, became super flirty, and I mean SUPER. After our first and only date, I kept her as a friend, and a few months later she deleted me off her social media. That little weirdo.

You do make a really good point that I’ve never pin pointed out that makes sense~ you say that his looks were basically his key into getting girls and that would do it...like you can be the hottest guy and yet not be able to spark a conversation and be the dead beat in the room! You are beautiful and I enjoy your stories. Some words of advice young lady- He is supposed to pay for the date. NEVER, EVER offer to pay. You're the prize. Glad you're safe. Stay away from online dating . Try focusing on your hobbies and talents, and you will attract someone.
