How to Run Android Apps (APK's) on Mac/Windows/Linux using Google Chrome

Step 3: In Chrome, navigate to settings / extensions

Step 4: Check the Developer box at the top right

Step 5: Load both extensions above. Archon first, followed by 2048. You may see a few errors, nothing to worry about.

Step 6: Launch 2048.

Having trouble? Try the following:

Update chrome, update to windows 8.1 if possible (I can confirm this works on windows 8.1, 10 tech preview, and OS X Yosemite). Try again.

go to chrome://flags/, turn off software rendering list. Restart and try again. Try turning on "Native Client". Restart and try again.

It's odd that software is not universal nowdays because android, iPhone and Mac are all Unix at heart and modern Windows PC are technically windows compatible Macs because they use the same x64 architecture as the Intel power pc processors which allows Windows to run on Mac and x64 was originally a Mac exclusive.

ive downloaded the ARChon and 2048 and placed them in a folder, however when i go on "load unpacked extensions" and find the folder, the files are grey and wont allow me to select them to be unpacked? have i done something wrong

thx for the video...I followed the steps but I get this message in chrome/extensions page:
There were warnings when trying to install this extension:
'minimum_chrome_version' is only allowed for extensions, legacy packaged apps, hosted apps, and packaged apps, but this is a shared module.

hey, im trying to play the android version of the game hearthstone on my mac (theyre doing some android only promotion that i want to take advantage of) how exactly did you find the 2048? I dont even see that on the list of compatable apps. How do I find the extension thingy for any app? im confused

There were warnings when you unpacked and you didn't say what they said or meant. You didn't run a android game to show it worked. 😉
