Matt Berninger from The National’s said in an interview that he wrote his prospective about his wife and Taylor wrote the prospective of the women, and sets a scene of a person with a notebook writing in a hotel bar. So the Alcott is a hotel bar 😊

Yeeeaaah. Generally speaking The National lyrics are quite heavy emotionally. Due to Taylor loving to work with Aaron Dessner I checked their whole discography; I liked some. Again, quite heavy. Aaron Dessner has a project with Bon Iver: Big Red Machine. There's a feature with Taylor Swift there called "Renegade". I think you would like that one

So here's the origin of the Alcott
English: ostensibly a topographic name from any of a large number of places called in Old English as 'the old cottage' (Old English (e)ald + cot(e)). In fact, however, it is generally an altered form of Alcock, in part at least for euphemistic reasons.
So it's basically a cottage and the singer of The National wrote this about him and his wife taylor wrote in the wife's perspective

Please react to more of The National! They're one of my favorite groups along with BTS (gotta love this fandom crossover 😂). I guess BTS takes care of the happy vibes and The National covers the depressed vibes. Most their songs are pretty sad but their lyrics are amazing, open to interpretation a lot of the time but also very cleansing.
