There is a difference between strawbetry legs and KP. The former is red *dots* (redness with no bumps), the hair follicles are red and elarged becaus they're irritated, most likely from having very sensitive skin. The solution is simply to be more gentle. However KP is a skin condition where you have red *bumps* (redness with bumps) and you need specific active ingredients like lactic acid and urea.
Sometimes you have bumps without redness, which simply means ingrown hairs and the solution is to exfoliate effectively or remove hair in the correct direction.

RECAP:
•Redness=strawberry legs=irritation. Solution: gentleness/avoid irritants like heat, harsh chemicals and harsh razors.
•Bumps=ingrown hairs. Solution: exfoliation, and correct hair removal direction.
•Red bumps=keratosis pilaris. Solution: go to dermatologist/use specific active ingredients

•Bonus point: red bumps with white head means infected hair follicle/infected ingrown hair. Solution: disinfection/better hygiene

For whoever is actually struggling with Keratosis Pilaris (not the one in the video), use lactic acid soap and after showering, use urea cream in all the affected areas. Try to do this 3 times a week for a month and you will see the results. If you live in a dry area, you will have this issue for life no kidding

Sorry, that's absolutely not strawberry skin. Strawberry skin or chicken skin is from skin conditions called Keratosis Pilaris or Folliculitis. Just having stubbly hair doesnt mean you have strawberry skin. With both KP and folliculitis there is redness from inflammed skin and a lot of texture. Taking hot baths or showers will dry out the skin, aggravating both conditions. While exfoliation and moisturizing help with both conditions, with folliculitis you have to use medicated moisturizer. One should also avoid scented or dyed products on the skin to avoid further irritation. Shaving against the grain of hair growth will also aggrivate the skin. I have dealt with KP my whole life and into adulthood, so I'm quite familiar with "strawberry skin" which isn't even a condition, its simply a description of the appearance of the aforementioned skin conditions. Please stop with disingenuous marketing.

For those who think strawberry legs are kp...it's not just that.

Kp is when you have those raised little bumps on your legs or arms, but strawberry legs is also when you have dark colored dots on your legs that are smooth and not raised.
Those smooth dark colored strawberry dots on your legs are from clogged enlarged pores.

I know I have them, and they are super smooth.

genuinely impressed with y’all, i don’t shave simply because im sooo lazy and more comfortable this way. i don’t mean this in a backhanded way, i genuinely think its impressive when people have this much attention to detail and commitment lol, i would be doing a lot more maintenance of myself if i weren’t lazy

I am 16 years old, and last year I removed my foot hair for the first time with a razor. My skin felt really smooth, but after a few days it became uncomfortable, so I decided not to remove hair anymore.

Lazer treatment will change your life.
I've done it years ago and I highly recommend it. It changed my life.

These kinda of blades are really hard for me to use (horribly uncoordinated and clumsy 😂) so I legit ended up with a cut so deep that it left a scar and now I’m scared to ever use one again LOL

Reminder for everyone watching: You do not *need* this. You are beautiful, no matter what way you choose to present. The only way you'd every be ugly, is by labeling someone else as so. If you feel more comfortable without hair, make sure to look into options that will not damage or harm you, but etheir way, you are normal.

(I know this has been stated numerous times, but it's important to remember)

Really helpful today. But as a reminder: for those who don't want to make the effort, not shaving at all is also a possible solution.

I just stopped shaving and i still wear shorts and dresses. It doesnt bother me. I dont know why hair would bother anyone. Saves me money but more importantly saves me time and no rashes or small cuts!
