i'd like to add that inazuma is not the only nation filled with irony - just like you said baal is the electro archon, the god od thunder, something short lived, seeking eternity. if you listen to dainslief's lines in the teyvat chapter storyline preview you can tell that every chapter is filled with contraditions: well for starters venti is the god of freedom but he doesn't actually give his people the freedom of choice, just like dainslief says "what does freedom really mean, when demanded of you by a god?" is it really freedom if it is commanded? liyue is a nation of contracts and everyone seems to follow and respect them. but yanfei tells us in her story quest/teapot quest something along the lines of nobody in liyue even knows the law since it is so complicated and hard to understand ("hard to understand and impossible to finish"). so essentially everybody in liyue supposedly follow something that they don't even understand. also zhongli's time as an archon is ended with a contract. next, the sumeru archon is the god of wisdom but he is the youngest archon and wisdom is commonly associated with the elderly. dainslief tells us that his enemy is wisdom itself and his nation of scholars is actually foolish. ("in the city of scholars there is a push for folly"). fontaine's archon is the archon of justice but she secretly wishes to judge all other gods. so all archons are full of irony, it's just that inazuma's really obvious one here!

I'm so excited to see what Scaramouche will do in the story. His connection to Baal (or the body that she is presenting herself with) is pretty clear to me. His hair also seems like it was exactly like Baals but he literally did a Mulan scene and cut it without even paying attention or worrying about style.
Another thing that is so interesting about all of this is the aspect of eyes. The saying “eyes are the window to the soul” seems to be very true in the Genshin Impact universe. Both Baal and Scaramouche have extremely similar eye patterns (something we don’t see in other characters besides the sisters Jean and Barbara) and the only difference is the color and glow from Baal's eyes that is typical of archons.
Quick question: did anyone notice the strange looking eye with the electro symbol as it’s pupil? It’s always behind Baal (her splash art and her ability) for some reason. Is that the eye of the true electron archon? Just watching and monitoring her puppet? Idk. Seems sus to me.

Just came back to this video after playing through the rest of the Inazuma story and i actually had to hold my breath when Yae Miko made a brief pause before explaining that Scaramouche was actually being created by Raiden Shogun. I was like "No, no, no, no. You're kidding me. You're not gonna tell me what I expect right now, are you?"

let me add to the fox possession theory : right where we enter inazuma in ritou port, there is a fox statue. nothing unusual right? NO! the fox statue has baal’s SAME EXACT HALO! its the only fox statue with it and i do believe it is foreshadowing since its basically the VERY first thing we see
