These gender reveal cake pops are so easy to make and full of the sweet flavors of cake and frosting. They're an adorable way to make any gender reveal party tasty and festive.
Blue or Pink Gender Reveal Cake Pops:
Ingredients
• 1 White cake mix mixed up according to box directions
• 2-3 tablespoons white frosting
• Pink or blue gel food coloring add to achieve desired color
• 12 ounces white almond bark
• Blue and pink colored sprinkles
• 24 cake pop sticks
Instructions
• Preheat oven to 350ºF.
• Prepare 9x13 cake pan by spraying it with cooking spray. (I used two 8-inch round pans to prepare half blue and half pink cake pops.)
• Prepare cake mix batter according to box directions.
• Add blue or pink gel food coloring until desired color is reached. The exact amount will depend on the type of food coloring you are using.
• Pour batter into prepared pan.
• Bake according to box directions or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cake to cool.
• Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
• Using a fork, crumble the cake right in the pan.
• Add frosting and work with hands until the dough holds together and you can form a ball.
• Using a 2 tablespoon scoop, scoop dough, form it into balls, and place balls on your prepared baking sheet.
• Melt a small amount of almond bark. Dip skewers into melted bark and then push them into the cake pops.
• Freeze for 1 hour.
• Melt remaining white almond bark. If it seems too thick, you could add a small amount of coconut oil to thin it a bit. This will depend on the consistency of your bark.
• Roll each cake pop in melted bark, allowing excess to drip off.
• Add sprinkles quickly before bark hardens.
• Chill before serving.
