5 Weird Facts about J. Robert Oppenheimer

A brilliant physicist propelled into an apocalyptic race against the Nazi regime for the ultimate weapon of mass destruction, Oppenheimer was both honoured and despised within his own lifetime. In helping build the atomic bomb it has been said that Oppenheimer saved and murdered millions.

And he was a really odd person. His life before the Manhattan project is scarcely believable for someone so pivotal in reshaping our modern world... Oppenheimer tried to poison his tutor at college, he ate nothing but chocolate, artichokes and beer for dinner whilst at Harvard. The list goes on.
