About Dr. Chi-Chi Obuaya

Dr. Obuaya graduated from Royal Free & University College Medical School. He completed his training in General Adult Psychiatry in London, where he works as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the NHS. His main areas of special interest are primary care psychiatry and the mental health of refugees and asylum seekers. He has also co-authored papers in peer-reviewed journals on culture-bound syndromes and service development.

I’m really annoyed today, this is my 2nd appointment with a Psychiatrist, I was diagnosed with Anxiety and OCD, What took me to the hospital was ADHD, I really relate so much with all things I saw and read about ADHD, But the doctor was saying It’s Impossible to for me to have ADHD…..that It’s for little children, boys to be precise, I really feel I’m under diagnosed and disappointed ☹️, I haven’t told him 80% percent of what I want to say…

What I saw was females often get undiagnosed and have to to suffer for the rest of their lives……….all I know is that I have suffered all my life not knowing what’s wrong with me…
