How To Cancel Amazon Order:
Log in to your Amazon account
Click on 'Account/Orders'
Select the order you want to cancel
Click on Cancel Item to cancel order.

Tell Amazon why you want to cancel the order.

Confirm cancellation.

If the item has already been delivered or the shipping process has already began, you might not be able to cancel. But you can initiate the 'Return' procedure on the website or wait to reject the item one it has been delivered to you.

Amazon has a pretty relaxed rturn policy so you should be fine!

I don't see the button that says cancel items, only one that says go to your games library. I got an email that says they they couldn't charge my account with the payment method I used. So I got rid of my payment method. However, since I used a gift card, when I try to use it again, Amazon says the code was used already and won't let me put the money into my account. How do I fix this?

So, when I cancelled an order that hadn't shipped just as you did I did not receive a "This order has been cancelled" message. Instead, I was directed to a chat-bot, an automated procedure to navigate some choice menus which then sent an Email to the seller. So, this might differ by country (Germany here)?

This does not work. At all. In the past two years I've attempted to cancel several items within three hours of ordering, to no avail. It's obvious that the orders had not shipped yet, but Amazon mysteriously fails to succeed in cancelling the order, and their customer service is non-existent; all you get is the runaround on their website with "help" topics. You will never ever get to talk to an actual human being.
