I spent about 2 years thinking about where Hyundai took inspiration for the design of the Hyundai Elantra, it's easy to point the obvious German Audi aesthetic, but now I have come to the conclusion that it's a combination of German and British designs; they took inspiration from the Jaguar XF headlights by making it more sharp and angular, while the grill is from Audi's design study for the evolution of the Audi grill. And sure enough, two years later after the Elantra's launch, Audi released the 2019 A8 with an uncanny resemblance to the 16' Elantra.

Elantra is a bargain in the 2nd hand market... You can find a less than 10k mileage Elantra at below 500k pesos...

Todays Korean car design looks more elegant and sophisticated with its streamline euro-inspired understated design compared to japanese cars with radical "Sporty" designs that look Cartoonish/Anime-ish. Also Hyundai/Kia's affordable compact sedans dont look like budget-meal cars.

Classy European look. Same vibe as audi's and BMW's. Sophisticated Simplicity over radical pretentious sporty design. In my opinion The most beautiful sedan design for its segment today. Though the previous elantra model prior to this one didnt look so great with aggressive lines and horn like headlights.

Question.. why is it that cars in philippines were like "watered down?" Yng elantra ksi sa canada is superb.. that's accdg sa kpatid ko. Never xa ngka issue at nsa 75, 000km na yng mileage nya in 3years na gnagamit. Anong meron dito satn na prang binabarat tyo ng manufacturer?

Too expensive and lacks features. Touchscreen display is that supposed to be a dealer option? That should be standard with a price like that.
