Hi, my name is Merrill Kazanjian. New York City is an amazing place to go metal detecting. We have lots of parks, colonial history and great beaches for beach detecting. I have gone to all five boroughs of New York City To Metal Detect and beyond. I also currently own 16 metal detectors. I want to have the best and I want to help you choose the best as well. Below I will showcase some of the playlists on this channel:

By Metal Detector:
Minelab Soveriegn: (Coming Soon)

I have a playlist of metal detecting videos to teach metal detecting. The videos in the playlist below are specifically made to teach the skills and mindset to becoming a great metal detectorist.

I am a treasure hunter. So in addition to metal detecting, I go mudlarking at sites such as Dead Horse Bay. Think of mudlarking as metal detecting without a metal detector.

Cleaning Metal Detecting/Mudlarking Finds:

Other Playlists:

My most important series is called Becoming A Millionaire Metal Detecting. I am trying to monetize my favorite hobby in order to do it more in the future. In other words, we put the clad we find in the ground, affiliate earnings, and merchandise earnings in to the stock market and we invest it. This show started in January 2019.

Hey! Not everyone needs a complex super machine! Some just want something that find goodies! Oh, and I have found way more gold with my old pokey Excalibur, than with all other detectors I've tried combined! The more advanced Equinox didn't even come close. All 3 of them that leaked! CTX 3030? Nope! Nor every other water machine, PI or VLF tried. And now I'm testing Deus 2 and Legend and have my doubts they'll unseat the King! Only the Garrett Infinium gave my Excals a run for the money. This on more than 30 Caribbean detecting trips. I do welcome technology, but sometimes simple machines find more. Long Live Garrett!

Merrill, you hit the nail squarely on the head with your analogy about Garrett Metal Detectors....Everything you said was spot on...You drew a great picture comparing purchasing 2004 computer compared to a 2022 model...Let's see what they release.

Might be about the co-branding of the Whites/ Garrett gold machine

I’ve had my AT-Pro 7 years. It’s tough and rugged, well built. Paired with Nel Storm coil gets great depth. AT-Pro found me my oldest silver coin. 1857 seated dime. Just my experience.

I was a die hard Garrett fan til they fell off the development train. I hope this can be their grown-up Minelab/xp moment…
You really hit the nail on the head with this video Merrill 👍

I for one am looking forward to hearing what Garrett has to offer. I love my ATMAX, it’s a solid machine. I run a Legend now but since the APEX is multifrequency I wouldn’t be surprised if Garrett came out with a simultaneous MF machine this year!

As being a Celebrity in my own Mind, I Highly Endorse the Minelab SOVEREIGN. It was the first Multi Freq on the market Way back in 1989. With the right coil it will match depth on the beach with Todays modern versions of MF.

I bet they try for a gold machine for prospecting, the Apex should have been fully waterproof there is no excuse for that machine not being

Hilarious LOL. I heard rumours that they are releasing a new scoop.

The Garrett Willy Wonka Camo covered WeedLess Duck Scoop also comes with a duck call built into the handle so you can secretly tell your friends you found a bottle cap. Retail $1500 for pre-order customers only.

I never grab my AT Pro anymore but I hope Garrett does come out with a better machine. These foreign companies has been stealing their lunch for a while now!

I found a bunch of cool stuff with my ace 300. I have since been swinging a Simplex and I'm in love with it.

I enjoy your videos and have learned a lot from them. But I do have a question, What detector you think in your opinion is the best for general jewelry hunting. I know you get asked a lot of crazy questions like this but I'm just wondering. Like single kHz or multi kHz. Any help would be thankful. And like you said it''s not just the detector but the detector and the person using it. And I know some detectors are better hunting things then others. Hope to hear what your thoughts are, thanks. GO ARMY

I love garrett simply because it's an American company that used to put out great products. I learned this amazing hobby on my at pro and I still love that detector for sentimental reasons. I never use it. no need to, I will miss out on to many finds but I still have a soft spot in my heart for them. I hope they knock this out of the park but I'm not going to get my hopes up to high because they do not listen to their customers. We should send dilek over to teach them a thing or 2.

It says on the Garrett website it’s a gold machine “prospecting detector “. Great if you hunt nuggets, I would like them to come out with a competitor to the Deus ii and the Nox but better, more durable and unquestionably water proof even if only 10 feet.

Good luck to them, but it's too late for me. I used to be a die hard Garrett fan. Used a Garrett ace 250 as my first detector with a screen/ target numbers way back in 2006. At pro as my first digital waterproof detector (and I still have it with all the different coils from Nel and Garrett). Bought a Deus 2 this spring, never going back. It is so light. There are things I don't like about it (mostly the charging system), but they are nothing compared to being able to swing for hours and still be able to move my shoulder the next day. I have done so much hunting this year, it's like being in my 20s again. If something ever happens to my Deus I will replace it with another.
