On some platforms such as the Audi A6 and A7 we can via Coding program the remote fob to both open and close the electric tailgate. However on models such as the A4, A5 and Q5 this is just simply not possible with coding!

I finally twigged why my A4 was not releasing the trunk remotely, after I watched your video. Even though the lights would flash, the trunk did not pop up. Why? Because I was not holding the button down long enough, so thank you.

My trunk sometimes closes like normal (as in the vid) but also closes like without the softclose do you know what this can be? (It started after i had to reset the windows/ panorama to open/close with one touch) i have an Q5 S edition from 2013

My electric tailgate / trunk on the A4 allroad CLOSES IT SELF right after i open it, its not giving me any time to load up items because of this annoying hellish problem, how do i fix it ? as soon as i open it, it auto closes it self again

Sorry guys, I did my own circuitry for my Audi Q5 (FY 2018) for £13.00. Granted a public installation (including insurance and warranty) might have pushed the price upwards into the £hundred mark!!
