“That manifesto looked very like the last throw of the dice which is looking at poll after poll pointing to disaster.”

Rishi Sunak is being “weighed down" by the “baggage of incompetence and dishonesty” under Truss and Johnson, says John Pienaar.

Heard it all before, lies and deceit - it's all they have.

Same old promises and lies. They are just words that have never or will never be fulfilled

I am self employed. I do not mind paying more in tax and NI for improved public services.

When Sunak raised National Insurance, he stated it was to help fund the NHS and social care. Then he says he wants scrap it. How does that add up ?

When will the tories wake up and smell the coffee. Not everyone has a tax obsessed tory mindset. A lot of people care about, integrity, transparency and professionalism.

Game is over, Rishi. Back to California no doubt.

In 2010 the tories were liars, now they are richer liars

In 1997 the Tories were led by John Major, Ken Clarke and Michael Heseltine. They were always going to lose in 1997 but the difference between then and now in terms of Tory leadership is breathtaking. If Sunak, Dowden, Stride are the best they can offer the Tories are truly heading for oblivion this time.

May they never ever recover from the July-4th carnage - let that be our Independence Day from these Tory crooks.

Sunak is a very dishonest guy. He raised taxes more than any Chancellor in recent memory, even Liz Truss said that when she challenged him for leadership of the Conservative Party
After 14 years of chaos, broken promises and dishonesty, the entire country is fed up with them. It is time for change

It all started with Cameron. I find it hard to believe that I actually voted fro him. He let the country down that led to this mess. I will never never vote Tory again.

Tax me more and fix the NHS. I'd gleefully vote for that. Cutting pennies from the pound won't make any tangible difference to my £25k wage but asking for a few pennies more from me? That won't have a noticeable effect on me either. Collectively though? Could have a profound effect for those who save lives every day.

Sunak HONEST! Have you forgotten all his lies already, he even keeps repeating the latest over & over & over.

Right-wing media outlets like The Times must share some of the blame for this mess for softballing the Tories for decades while reserving most of their criticism for left-wing parties.

Being self employed and having looked at Mr.Sunak's well thought out budget, I have now changed my mind about this incompetent overprivileged deceitful liar and will now be voting for him in the upcoming election. N.O.T.
