So I been told you get 40 skill points total, you get 2 at level 20. Meaning you have 14 extra points after hitting a capstone!

I like the change of pace, there's hero points and you can equip a lot of equipment in this game

I think 1 skill tree is good because of the mixing and matching of them all. So you have 2 skill trees, but there are 30 (6x5) combinations or 42 (7x6) with the new class confirmed. Like you said, it does limit diversity for each class individually, but overall I think it increases diversity when considering the options you have.

At level 20 you get 2 skill/hero points, so you get a total of 40 points. Hero stats is your hidden skill tree. It offers the skills that give flat boosts, which were normally the skills you needed to pick up to get to the cool skill in the next tier. So you kinda have 3 skill trees at the end, it's just different way of presenting it so you have a focused build early on, instead of do l dividing your points over 3 trees early on. Good for new players but still has depth for experts like you.

In the current iteration of this class/multiclass system, I fear that it will reduce build diversity. If I had to guess the top builds will be multiclassing with a stabbomancer. Remember, build diversity doesn't mean the amount of builds that can be made but the amount of builds that are effective and fun to play (more times than not in a borderlands game More Damage=More Fun). Who really knows at this point but lets hope the companions are good.

One skill tree? That probably means it’s a terrible game. There’s plenty of people actually say that. I personally really look forward to it.

I don't mind this cause with lower levels it will give you a chance to play the game multiple times with different characters. This was also a big flaw of the borderlands game in my opinion. I always wanted to beat the game and max out every character but there's no way I ever had the time to do it. I just might be able to now

I really like the change.

It's a different dynamic + I never liked the bad balance in end game scaling that is forced due the bad balance god mode some characters can achieve. So basically a great fix to this balancing hell is Quality over Quantity.

We don't need 60 skill points, we need few really well implemented and designed skills.

before I even comment about this let me be clear. I love the concept of this game and have already pre-purchased the version with the season pass. I'm all in and cannot wait.

I 100% agree about the build diversity issue but it is going to be a little more broken then any other BL game. When you look at 6 skill trees and pick 2 that means there will be 15 different choices. When they go to 7 it will jump to 21 combinations... There are going to be absurdly broken combinations and other combinations that do jack diddly squat. Combine this with the legendary weapon system and yeah you can see where this can go quickly... The question is will the number of broken combinations be enough to give good build diversity or will it end up only being like 3 or 4 of them?

To me the team already acknowledged this in saying that you can always respec your second class choice. This tells me they are aware some serious balancing and nuclear level nerfing are to be expected.

For the record I'm not knocking the game. Spinoffs like this are made between main entries to try and experiment with new things and I'm 100% down to roll with the punches.

With the whole multi class thing it’s understandable. Already got my first build ready lol.

This is a Borderlands game however it's doing experimenting for BL4. Tbh I don't mind less trees if they pack more power

We always go for the op stuff, no sense in complaining about it, at least I have multiple build combos to try out even if they aren't op

Hey TermX, just wanted to let you know, it's confirmed that people will have 40 skill points and not 39 😁Excited to see your build videos!

Nice to see borderlands content creators defending wonderlands.

Meaning 30 combos at launch, which is more than the 12 possibilities of bl3

With multi class I’m Gucci, I’ve already got my first full 40 SP build done (on paper that is). Termx is a true g

Think my main problem with the 1 skill tree is that even then most of the skills seem relatively recycled or extremely safe... sure bl3 did that but you could forgive them since each character had 4 trees with this game ... seems like every tree is just a regular numbers game without any skills that drastically change stuff... least from my pov. Also i understand there always being meta builds but taking away options allowing for fewer builds really doesnt make things much better specially when most branches of the tree are trying to get the best element of different play styles however there not being many skills limits your application.

A lot of people here dont or have never played DnD, and you can tell... 1 skill tree is NOT a big deal as its being made out to be, and being able to pick up skills from other classes gives much more diversity than not being able to.

Lets be real here for everyone who complained about Build diversity. In Borderlands 2 or 3 a lot of builds where the same. Lets take Fl4k as an example. The majority of player played only a Fade Away build.
