107-year-old woman who danced with Obamas finally gets ID

Virginia McLaurin's impromptu dance with the Obamas at the White House made her an online sensation. Thanks to some high-profile help, the 107-year-old finally has a government-issued ID that will now allow her to travel and vote. Bill Plante reports.

Just think about this... She lived through both World Wars, the Great Depression, and even segregation in the 1960s. And now she lived to see the first African American president.

What a wonderful way to honor one of our elders! We should celebrate and respect them more. They are our living history. We should hear what they have to say more often then we would not be in trouble.

She was my Grandma's (RIP) best friend... She's 112 now and hasn't missed a beat. I swear she's been the same since I was born. She's loved in the community, church and our families. I hope to have a fraction of her energy and longevity. She is so kind and funny too!! May God continue bless Sister Virginia!!

This makes me cry! I miss my grandparents and great grandparents. Some of them remember slavery and talked about it. After 400 years of Blacks being scorned and denied, they frequently talked about this day. They wanted to see history in the making! I wish they could have made it through the "front" door of the White House to meet President Obama, and to see a House that was built with hard labor on the backs of slaves!
