I visited Germany mid April this year thinking I'd experience a nice spring time. I found winter still going strong. Snow and all. It was lovely anyway.

That is really a rare event in Düsseldorf. Once in my childhood in the 90ies there was enough snow to do cross country skiing in the forest. 🤗

We do the same thing here in Northern Wisconsin! We had 11.5 inches of snow in late April this year. It had been as high as 80 degrees farenheit a week earlier. Our climate here is very similar to that of southern Germany.

Beautiful. All we get in Florida (USA)is 2 months of Spring, 9 months of Summer, and 1 months of Fall (floridians consider it winter but it barely gets cold)

It seems southern Germany and central/northern Germany have switched places now. Up until a few weeks ago there was still snow here in Bavaria, and now it's getting warm again while it's snowing further north lol

Not snow but the rain like our normal fall/winter just ended like two weeks ago & can happen again in June warm one day cold the next. N. Calif can be that way with climate change especially. Never happened in my childhood.
