In ViM you have to hit escape, type :x, then hit enter to save.

@EeekMeep Oh the reason I tend not to use Ubuntu much is BECAUSE I have 8.04. I have been afraid to update since in the past updating has changing around settings (e.g temporarily changed my Xorg configuration files, etc.) Maybe some day if I get the time to back up my linux machine's HD ill install fedora, but for now I am going to stick to Ubuntu. I have come to find that I made a big mistake installing 8.04 on my machine, since it turns out that 9.10 is much more user friendly.

@EeekMeep Oh that does clear things up a bit thank you for clarifying. I do use open source software like adium, firefox, linux (i have a machine running Ubuntu 8.04 server separate from my mac). I have nothing against open source software, but I can tell that I don't have as strong an opinion about open source software as you do. As I am curious, I must ask, what OS do you use? What hardware for that matter? I would be open to any suggestions.

@ExtremeSkatingTM haha that was me using the ViM editor. You should really know how to use terminal (work your way around) and know your way around the Vi editor. Search my channel for terminal lessons and Vi lessons.

You can also do this for input:
name = raw_input ("Enter name please") This creates a string of text instead of just printing, and making the input blank.

@EeekMeep I am just trying to expose my viewers to different languages, not really trying to help them get advanced in any one language. I have to admit that I don't spend a lot of time using python, but I know enough to try and help my viewers get exposed it to. I am sorry if I offended you by getting a mac, but that is my personal preference. For a long time I have put effort into helping my subscribers, and don't intend to let my knowledge, or lack there of, stop me.
