How Israel Protects Itself From Missile Attacks

Israel has developed a robust multi-layered air defense system to counter threats ranging from small UAVs to ballistic missiles, fighter jets to cruise missiles. There are different systems to counter different threats, though one syste might counter other threats as well but specialisation has made Israel a formidable force. Here we are discussing Iron Dome, SPYDER, Barak , David's Sling and Arrow. Didn't include Iron Beam here and foreign system like Patriot. And also keep in mind that not necessarily all of the three branches of Israeli Armed Forces use those system, a specific version might be used for particular reason by a specific branch. So this video mainly deals with Israeli origin system capable to do the job.

For the friends, in short

1) Iron Dome deals with rocket, artillery and mortars (guided rockets, precision guided munitions, air launched guided bombs even cruise missiles)

2) SPYDER and BARAK deals with fighter jets and cruise missiles

3) David's Sling takes care of short range tactical missiles while Arrow is to stop medium range tactical missiles. Latest development possibly can face longer range IRBM as well.
