'We're as ready as we can be': Atlantic communities prepare for Hurricane Fiona's landfall

Local officials in Atlantic Canada are calling on residents to help each other and hunker down as the region braces for Hurricane Fiona to make landfall. One mayor in Newfoundland says his coastal community still hasn't recovered from flooding last year.

I can’t wait till all the Countries Canada has helped over the years with natural disasters come forward and send us money to help. This will be so heart warming to see. Finger crossed that no one dies. But we can rebuild with help

Halifax isn't in it's way, Northern Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, PEI, and western NFLD are in it's way. But I'm sure that there's no money in the budget to help N. N.S. or C.B. with the cleanup, like last time in 2019.

And it seemed to me that the American State of Florida all the way up north to the North East U.S.A. and the Atlantic Canada or our Canadian Maritimes region are always been called a " hurricane alley " or a constant hurricane path for hurricanes/super hurricanes that always originates in the Caribbean nations, countries and states like Puerto Rico, the Islands of the British Bahamas, Turks/Caicos Islands and the island of British Bermuda including the Dominican Republic as well as Jamaica, Haiti and Cuba.
