Good content. During KK’s time, many of us Zambians never wanted to travel a lot to other countries because we liked our country as life was generally good with the exception of the late 1980s. Our population was small too. So I can understand the current Namibian’s mind set. Political & economic problems are what often force many people to go out of their countries. With the internet showing us of what is available in other countries, we can of course, travel to explore as tourists too.

Just to add: Unam has other fully fledged campuses countrywide. Katima mulilo campus, Rundu Campus, Southern campus, Henties bay and Oshakati.

Namibians dnt stay at beaches except some weekends. They dnt roam streets or beaches just like that. There is a place called Dolphin Park between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund. That is the place where most people go from the two towns. It's beachside entertainment park for all ages.

Was nice content.
Few things to say.
Namibia population is to us too much. We see we are many and dnt want a super high population beyond current. Just look at the population of United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Libya etc. They small populations but wealthy by Gdp than Nigeria. Therefore population size dnt matter. What matters is industrial development. Look at Singapore, small island, small population but huge and wealthy economy than Nigeria.

2ndly, Namibia looks friendly but is the most difficult country for immigration. Very difficult for a foreigner to live in Namibia white or black or get Namibian citizenship. Very very difficult even if u marry a namibian. Its tough on that. Some foreigners u from sadc come for 90 days and go renew at border and come back again but are actually illegal in Refugees from the country. They can't get a job in Namibia not even as far workers. Congolese flock to Namibia but very few. Recorded number of refugees in Namibia is less than 6000 and 90% of them stay at Osire refugee camp. They allowed to go out within Namibia and report to camp once every two months but this privilege only applies to those who have been refugees for long
The reason Congolese pass Zambia or Angola and come seek refugee status here is coz they alerted by Some Congolese that if u become refugee in Namibia, u will later be relocated by UN refugee commission to USA, Canada and Australia. That's what happened to most Congolese refugees in Namibia . They were absorbed by US, Canada and Australia. I know many of them personally. That's what prompted some Congolese refugees to seek asylum here so in end they sent to US.

lNamibians, Botswana and South Africans only travel within the 3 countries. Namibians travel but mainly to SA all time. However, Zimbabweans too never used to travel when their economy was good.

Lastly, There are two 100% government universities iNamibia: University of Namibia where u were and NUST (Namibia University of Science and Technology). NUST is the one in Windhoek West near the place where u were staying when u arrived.
Unam has 3 campuses In Windhoek. Main campus where u were, Khomasdal campus and Health Sciences campus in Windhoek North. Health campus offers medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing and Veterinary science.

Once again Government gives funding to all students who got admission to university or college. Only those whose parents earn above 500, 000 rand yearly are excluded unless they prove that their parents although earning such can't afford.
