I strive in my life to also extend this compassion to all living things. When i pay attention to anything, i see that everything that lives values their one single, beautiful life that is so precious to them. And they have one single precious body to live it in. If I can put an insect outside instead of crushing it, or eat a meal of vegetables, (i hear that the lower on the food chain we eat, the less lives we take) water a wilting plant, bring a hyper dog to a place where he can run free, visit a lonely person and tell stories...then I am only getting started.

These can be cultivated.

Can't believe this, this is an idea that struck me just 2 days back - that compassion is not something that we're either born with or without and that it can constantly be worked upon. How did I come across this video today? I didn't even "google" it!

Body language can easily be missed in this fast pace society.
It is a science all on it’s own.  
The book ‘Social Intelligence’ by Coleman goes into these detail, good book on compassion.
