A Feminist's Take On the Men's Rights Movement

Just as feminism has valid arguments and factions that actually do just hate men, the men's rights movement also has valid arguments and factions that just hate women.

On this episode of BASED, Hannah differentiates between the two and then digs into the ways our government and society actually do stack the deck against men. And, she lays out areas of mutual concern where men and women advocates can come together and work to dismantle systems of oppression.

2:23-2:48 Ok. So you presented yourself as a person who's done research on the topic of the men's rights movement. Yet, you got several incredibly basic things wrong.

You named Pick Up Artists, incels, and Men Going Their Own Way. Those communities openly don't agree with the MRM and don't identify as "MRA". So how did you, with all of your research, manage to mix them in when you were supposed to addressing radical MRAs?

>Secondly, you claimed that this includes white nationalists and the alt right. But so far, there's only been one instance of an alt right figure affiliating with the MRM (Chris Cantwell). And he was fully denounced by MRAs after the community figured out his background.

So you're intentionally conflating your problems with different groups of men and putting them all on the MRM's shoulders, as a "MRA problem". That's completely disingenuous.

You guys DO realize that "Libertarian Feminist" is an oxymoron, right?

No legitimate Men's Rights activist says that 'r_pe' should be legal. That was Roosh V, a PUA, and as poor taste as what he wrote was, the point was if it were legal, women might more carefully consider the types of men they hang out with to avoid such a traumatic incident.

You acknowledged men's issues such as domestic violence and shared parenting.

Yet you never brought up the fact that
>It was feminist groups that pushed the Duluth Model and Power and Control Wheel, which they use as the centerpiece for domestic violence. It's feminis groups who pushed the Violence Against Women Act, which has completely failed to actually help male victims.

>It's father's rights groups that have been pushing for shared parenting for decades. And its feminist lobbying groups that keep preventing it from being passed. And keep pushing a false narrative that advocating for 50/50 shared parenting will lead to more abusive fathers being in the household.

What’s also evident to me as a man, is that it’s socially acceptable to degrade men. It’s not socially acceptable (and rightly so) to degrade women. Oftentimes sarcasm and “jokes” are made about men. If the same is done to women, many men even speak up saying it’s wrong. It’s a manipulative and toxic culture that we as men have to weed through.

Lol, men benefit more from marriage. The vast majority of married men I know beyond the early honeymoon years are absolutely miserable. They just keep their misery to themselves & would never discuss it with a feminist like Hannah. A tip for young men, ask older married men about their marriage with no one else around. What you’re going to learn is marriage is something you should never ever do.

I completely disagree about ther "what is the point of lying about rape"
because theres thousands of articles popping up how a guy went to jail for rape but the girl lied to save face.

PUA's aren't mrm. Who is a violent MRA? Women aren't vindictive or aren't capable of lying.

Just another one of those...
You fail on all your claimed counts.

The issue with rape isn’t downplaying it’s relevance or justifying violence against women I think very few people are actually in favor of that and if you are honest you will agree with this. The issue is that rape is almost never treated like other crimes the accused have barely any rights compared to people accused of robbery or murder for example. There’s a taboo over even thinking someone might have been falsely accused or wrongly convicted since that’s seen as protecting an abuser or not believing a woman. This undermines due process and creates a huge power imbalance in relationships and leaves many men legitimately in fear or doubting themselves especially when the media portrays many more interactions as rape when they aren’t.

Well, how will your sympathy change the court system. Everyone says that, but nothing changes while men are losing their lives for it in increasing numbers every day. How many men should lose their lives before the system changes?

Women can rape, abuse, torture and violently kill men. But of course our culture never talks about it, and feminists even try to censor it. To make things worse, most men wont report. They are either scared, embarrassed or can’t find help. And nobody cares (not even other men). Thats why the vast majority of rapes are committed by men. Women get away. Actually thats why you can’t base your claims on the number of reports. Im in my late 30s and I believe that when it comes to rape, abuse and sexual abuse the rates are nearly similar. But womens methods are more sutile and hard to detect. And society never suspects a lady. And men won’t report. So you can’t do anything.

Did you know that when comparing children that live primarily with mothers to children that live primarily with fathers that the kids who grew up mainly with their fathers did BETTER in every way from emotionally to income. The wage gap that feminists are so stuck on is actually comparing mothers wages to fathers wages. When you compare single men to single women women dominate and actually earn a lot more.

Her comments on why women seek divorce are total nonsense. Just shows she doesn’t have a clue what she’s talking about. And of course nowhere in this discourse did we hear anything about repealing no-fault divorce.

MGTOW is NOT A HATE GROUP!! MGTOW men also do not hate women. MGTOW simply just wants to be left alone, work on themselves and simply realizes female nature a the governments ability to turn good women into horrible people that are more than willing to falsely accuse men of horrible things that they haven't done(like Grape, sexual assault, general assault and harm against a child). How does this person feel about male reproductive rights and paternity fraud?
