Finally, a video for the home gym community that shows that 99% percent of home gym owners don’t need a big, over built, 3x3, 6 post power rack, with a 250lb weight stack on an adjustable pulley. Don’t need a 200 lb adjustable bench with a thousand pound weight capacity and zero gap. Nor do they need to spend $700-$1k on a single piece of equipment. This video is gold. Thank you for showing people these options instead of the most expensive options on the market so that if they buy through your link then…. well…. you know. Nvm.

Another commenter asked for it before: Smallest square footage gym! Or Gyms depending on your square footage. Apartment 1x3, Apartment 3x3, Livingroom 3x6, Half office 6x8, basement corner 8x8, etc.

Facebook marketplace gym build would be cool Would love to see a build off between coop and Sam. Set a budget and you both pick out equipment and why then let the comments decide

That chest press looks surprisingly good for a couple hundred bucks. The fold up feature is a smart idea

Honestly budget options are great for most people. There’s not a NEED to buy the best equipment for your average gym dude. If you aren’t putting up crazy weight, then you don’t NEED the expensive equipment. It’s more of a WANT… and that’s fine. Just had to highlight the key differences. I lift on base but built a budget home gym but the only thing I did get that was nicer was my barbell.

My home gym is a squat rack, bumper plates that max out at 225lbs, an adjustable bench with dumbbells with going from 20-60lbs with incremental jumps by 10lbs. When you have limited equipment it's amazing how creative you get with exercises to hit muscle groups in different ways

Decent barbell, decent bench, dirt cheap rack, a suspension trainer or rings, maybe an econo pulley: you will never need anything else.

Agree with previous posts, a more realistic approach to the typical consumer where functionality at a lower cost is key. Evaluating lower cost equipment is very beneficial. Having a number of Sydee and Yes4All pieces of equipment, as well as Titan has allowed me to address all muscle groups at a lower price. Still looking for unique pieces of equipment; hope to see reviews that spark interest.

Definitely like this content Coop. It’s how my channel grew the way it did was more budget options that almost everyone can get great gains from. Nice work!

if you're scrolling and feel off, read this. i was burnt out, low energy, not myself. found Testosterone Rewired by David Brooks, had zero expectations but man. chapter by chapter it rebuilt me. no hype bs, not fake motivation just stuff that grounds you and resets your system. this book really saved me. wish I found it sooner.🔥

Can't wait to see the Temu review. I looked at their "offerings" about a month ago and would love to see the reality of what they send. Mainly their racks, weights and benches.

A leg press is a terrible buy for a budget gym. You'd end up spending twice the amount just on weights for it. A hack squat would be far better, requiring much less weight to be effective.

Guys you should do a low ceiling friendly versión :)

My home gym has been built over the last 11yrs. My husband suggested we get a home multi-gym about instead of continuing paying for gym membership. We already had a treadmill and a rowing machine (of sorts). Since then some things have come and gone, but today I've replaced the multi-gym with a new one and as the old one is still in good condition, it's going to a teenage boy whose eyes lit up at the chance to have something nice to work with. My new one gets delivered later this week and includes a leg press. During covid I passed my rowing machine on to my neighbours and bought a second hand Concept II Rower. I tend to buy something new - or used but in great condition every year or two. I don't have squat racks or any kind of rack system, but that's not the kind of home gym we needed or wanted. I just need my legs strong enough so I can walk to the shops to pick up the week's veggie supply, or arms strong enough to carry the veggies home and open my own bottles. I had surgery six months ago and shared a photo of my home gym to my Rehab exercise physiologist. Later I overheard him commenting that it's one of the nicest home gyms he's ever seen. It gets used 3x a week, too. Not bad for a 63yr old woman!

I own this lat pulldown and it is phenominal, wish he would've fixed the cables to demo it better. Some notes on it for future buyers: It's short. It fits under 7 foot ceilings so perfectly in my basement. That's why I got it. I dont have the headroom for a taller machine. Also because of the price it was a good deal. I want to mention 2 things: 1. I'm 5'11 and I am BARELY able to get a full stretch, but you can even take the pin out of the seat and the seat goes down another inch or so and that gives me a stretch perfectly where I dont hit the top. If you're 6'1 or smaller it should work for you. Secondly, you'll notice the seat is in the way for something like bicep curls BUT if you do the hack I mentioned before then the seat is just resting in the hole so you can just remove it completely in a second and now nothing gets in the way of doing vertical pulling movements from the low row cable. Really clever hack there! Also, I greased the back upright and now it slides really well. Not perfect but I wouldnt change anything about it. Honestly, the only cons are that its not bolted down and doesnt have a way to weigh it down so doing standing face pulls for example will make the machine tip (I havent tipped it yet). Otherwise recommend! And also its amazon so if you're too tall for it, you can return it. But again that was a big fear of mine but its literally just tall enough to work. I think it will fit most people.

I remember as a first year wrestler watching the ESPN Iowa special and the Bear being the best example of what the Iowa style really was

Made the same mistake with the cable on the lat pulldown attachment for my rack and thought I'd wasted my money till I figured it out. Good to see someone else do the same so I feel slightly less stupid.
