AN-255 Mriya Wake Turbulence thru Fog

Показать описание
This video is a great illustration of the dangerous wake wake turbulence a super heavy jet will cause and why there is separation between aircraft on approach. The AN-255 Mryia come down thru fog, its wake separating the fog and causing the swirling action off the wingtips due to wake vortexes. The fog is literally separated all the way to touch down. The wake turbulence descends to the ground and people standing underneath the flight path can feel it and hear the swirling vortexes. Looking back everyone can see the AN-255’s flight path from approach to touchdown from the separation of the fog. #aviation #avgeek #pilot #pilotlife #aircrew #military #airforce #army #aircraft #plane #jet #fly #sky #fog #flight #flying #photo #photography #videoviral #viralvideo #videos #landing

This is a once in a lifetime, true visual of what happens during approach. Good job to the camera man who caught this! Rip to the AN-225, that was a b.s way for a legend in the aeronautical world to go out.

Got up close to the AN-225 at MEM International. She was magnificent! She had just been painted in her blue and yellow Ukrainian colors. She was all white at her first stop and came back to MEM all dolled up.

That was beautiful. I bet it looked a million times better for the lucky ones on the ground

A plane so big it opens the clouds like Moses did the Red Sea.

Ok, I've watched this like ten times now, and it's still awesome!

Living directly in the landing and take-off path of MCO I get to hear some cool sounds and see some crazy reactions when the Jets are coming in. Also usually they're initiating the go around right above my head if there's an issue. The one issue I have is that when the big boys take off and go full throttle their engines are all pointing at my windows 😂 it's not really a big problem though because I love it. The closest thing I get to the space shuttle anymore! I kind of missed my Sonic booms. Recently I've been trying to capture some of those sounds for a game that I'm building. I can't quite get them to record the way I want to through a microphone yet.

Thanks for sharing this on. I have tried explaining this, for folks to see it, this is cool 😎

It's amazing that in flight refueling is possible?

That is why the contrail crew need to realize that much of what they see in the sky is not some huge conspiracy. These are clouds, just not 35000 feet up.

Large caliber shells can cause a similar effect, though they generally only punch a tunnel through fog as they dont have enough of an air mass behind them to clear it completely

Thanks Mark. I will now definitely avoid wake turbulence whenever I'm driving my Honda Civic near airports.

That’s awesome looking. And I may be wrong but isn’t it AN-225 and not AN-255?

Just as a reminder, and pardon my correction, it is pronounced vor-ti-cees, vortexes, point of connection between vortex's is the vortexes

now tell me again how the falcon 9 boosters don't affect weather patterns

it’s like a fog breaker… If airplanes need to land, and they’re not IFR, this is the landing solution! Who wants to invest in my fog-breaker business???😀
