The truth is that the divine can slay the devil only by becoming one and there is no other alternative way to that.

The entire evolution of man on this planet has revolved around the story of good vs evil which has kind of been the biggest lie up-to this point in our lives. In terms of Kalki avatar, it is as much devil as divine. Only then will the balance be found in terms of doing the right thing and not the emotional one. If there is emotion present in a certain decision-making, then it is due to the presence of one of these two in excess over the other.

Also, the important point to note in the Bhagavad Gita is that the human race is not divided by good vs evil but a human being is divided as such and that is the true diverse nature of the world and the humans living.
