The last two month have been INSANE with this regression. How are yall feeling about all of it???

I think it’s obscene that brands think it’s appropriate to try to shove plus sizes back online only, as if we don’t deserve the convenience of in-store shopping. Thank you for giving this topic light & space to be aired out!!

The Ozempic effect. I think all brands are scaling back on plus sizes unfortunately.

I have noticed this. I have also noticed this with shoes as well. The larger sizes are non existent and if they do have them they’re narrow AF. Regular width and wide width are hard to find. I recently graduated with my doctorate and wanted the perfect shoes for my dress. Nothing fit or was in my size and I have regular 9.5 feet. Everything was super narrow, sold out, or online only for a bigger width. I was stuck with a pair of flat sandals from rainbow and a pair of madden nyc sandals for my big day. No cute heels or wedges cause I’d didn’t have the time to chance it by ordering online and plus I was over it by then. I had already dealt with constant returns and reorders to get the right plus size dress since I had to shop online cause nothing was in store. It gets expensive having to buy all your options online in multiple sizes to figure out what works then deal with the return headaches. I am an 18 as well.

Now think about this you’re an influencer so you’ll get brands reaching out to you. But for the people that actually have to pay outta pocket. This is why we hang on to our stuff for so long because if you donate what you’re not really wearing (but still fits) when will you have access to that style and trend again and in most cases the quality! Because let’s be real the quality of plus size clothing 10 years ago is almost non existent today highly due to fast fashion I know but still. Even in the pricey stores that were known for good quality plus size clothing the quality has declined.

But how embarrassing for a big brand company telling you to come and shop knowing your plus size and you get there and there is next to nothing is store and it’s not because it was sold out it’s because they just don’t want to carry it in store anymore! And it’s definitely an industry thing and not brand specific.

I honestly thought I was tripping, when I went in Nordstrom Rack last month. And there was literally 1 small rack of plus size clothes. I walked the whole store and there was nothing else for us. I was in shock and thought I must’ve made a mistake. Now, hearing more women talk about the lack of clothes in store, I guess I wasn’t wrong. It’s so sad.

There’s nothing new about it. It’s how it always used to be forever. I was always around a size 12-14 and could never find anything growing up. I was born in 1980 and all through my adolescence and pre teens it was rough, when I got into HS I was determined to become more fit just to be comfortable and enjoyed some easier times. However, yup I always recall a size large and 12 being the MAX. The Plus size inclusivity has been a NEW concept and has been a nice change. Sad to see it’s fleeting.

Hey Stella, I'm a size 13( 9/11 at my natural weight), and the stores I'm shopping online are even smaller. For example, Swankaposh gives gives weekly flash sales on sizes 1-5. Even the models are promoting smaller sizes since last year. Since skinny came back in style, a lot of fashion brands are not catering to plus sizes anymore. My mom and I went into Kohls last year and my mom and looked at bras. The DD sizes had a 34DD and 38/40 dd. My mom and I wear 36DD and are naturally smaller framed. So yeah, size inclusiveness in store has disappeared again. Back to TJMAXX and H&M I go because I'm going where I'm welcomed.

We’re going backwards. We are back to the 80s and early 90s 😢 Loft is the one that hurts most. I am starting to replenish my pre Covid work wear and vacation wear that was mostly Loft. Torrid is overpriced and not my vibe. Lane is overpriced and boring. Where is Avenue and Ashly? Even Eloquii hasn’t been hitting. Just bought Old Navy but returned most of the pants. Arggg

The red carpets set the trends. Award season was full of ultra thin bodies. BBL, Plus Size, and Average body types are out. Therefore designers and retailers will follow suit. It's sad because there is room for clothes for all body types in-stores. Smh.

That’s actually pretty alarming! You have been saying it and boom there it is. It’s sad. It’s not high end but Walmart definitely hasn’t stepped back in store and they have some cute options but, we want options wherever we go like straight sizes. It’s only in the Midwest but Meijer has everything in both straight sizes and plus sizes in everything.

It makes no sense to only have online for plus size cause stuff that’s flattering is so hard to find🤦‍♀️ also the quality and sizes are not as good online or triple the price

I don’t get it if the average size is 14/16 in USA why don’t thy carry plus size :( it’s just weird that they don’t cater to plus size. What about kohls JCPenney banana torrid i take my mom shopping and she’s pretty lucky with Ralph Lauren Abercrombie, aerie and most stores we go to in nyc we have plus sizes still

Average size is a 16. That means half of women cant shop in a store.

It’s so sad that stores like American Eagle and Old Navy were promoting that they carried plus sized over the last few years and now there is nothing left in store. Also H&M’s online plus has gone downhill nothing cute. In Canada there are very little options.😢

This is so frustrating i guess we just keep supporting brands who have plus sizes. Keep pushing to get them
In store.
So much profit they will miss out on not having the options in store. But it’s so disappointing that when your plus size you can’t go into a store and try before you buy.

I thank her for bringing this information to plus size consumers. So many valid points she made throughout the video. As a plus size consumer, I question the existence of larger sizes that were once available. Where the hell dude they go?!
Another thing, who’s responsible for deciding the stores inventory?I try support and appreciate Stella’s bravery, confidence, passion, and commitment to this cause.
I wonder if the Kardashians are aware that plus sizes are limited. As a plus size consumer, I’d really like to know what are they going to do to change the way we are doing business.
We need answers!
