On that point of the storylines not being wrapped up, I think it is worth pointing out that this show was originally supposed to be a single season with 18 episodes, and it got split into two.

I wouldn’t call this a season 4. Its more like a Volume 2. This is just the next writers run on the character. Netflix being the Frank Miller run & now we’re getting into the Bendis run.

I completely disagree on the Disney money helping the show. The cgi in the fight scenes was very noticeable, the lower budget of the netflix series gave it a much more grounded and visceral feel. The fight scenes in the Netflix series are some of the best ever adapted to Western tv. The shots of cgi Daredevil running across the rooftops in Born Again gave me 2003 Affleck vibes.

I think we forget that they completely rehauled the series. It was originally supposed to be 18 episodes and instead they decided to break it up into 2 9 episode seasons.

The cgi issues didn’t bother me because again this first season was completely different remade and redone DURING production. It wasn’t something that they scrapped the early script and started again like with blade. They were actively filming and were weeks upon weeks into their production when they redid everything.

I believe the second season will be a lot more polished and refined and will ultimately be like infinity war and endgame. One massive movie divided into two parts.

It’s why they are filming it currently because the budget to an 18 episode season was already approved.

Overall I loved the first two episodes, and with everything the production had gone through, what we got is perfection compared to what it could have been.

"Comic book fans" cry babying about dialog heavy episodes is really wild to me. Literally what a majority of comics are. Its not all fight scenes and action. Its character build up.

Makes sense on why the end of this season ends very openly because it was originally going to be like 20 episodes or something so they probably decided to just split it up to make more money. Damn you, Disney.

Daredevil season 1-3 to me is one of those shows that just tied up everything so nicely and gave us so much. It Answered a lot of questions and gave us so much throughout, so rich that the character arc for Electra was the foundation for the defenders.(might as well been daredevil season 4 with friends if you ask me)
IMO the greatest tv show. Charlie Cox slays as Daredevil.

Interesting that you talk about the secondary characters because I think Season 3 of the original show works as well as it does because they double down on that. They spend a LOT of time with Ray Nadeem and Dex. And it almost feels like. Why am i seeing this, I want to see Karen, Foggy, and Matt.

But they cash in on all that time. Ray and Dex have incredible arcs.
