Submission Requirements:
-Video must be 1080p 30 or 60fps
-Video needs to be in 16:9 format (hold your phone horizontal)
-Tripod or some form of stabilizing. (shaky video wont work)
-10 clips of 20 - 30 seconds (please do not edit, just raw footage)
-Video clips must contain, Corals, Fish, and Set up equipment. (filters, sumps, pumps, lighting etc.)
-Video must be smooth and steady, not shaky ( different angles of your tank are welcome)
- Of course your name, City, State, Country.

Great tips Tom. You are at the top of your game with the latest videos. You're on fire! Great entertainment. Update1: The gravel vac protein skimmer is really working well. Pulls a ton of funk out of my 8 gallon daily. Update2: My GSP is open and flowing. I determined the culprit. I had a 3 stripe damsel I had to rehome. He was "cleaning" the GSP. :) Update3: A purchased a Purple Stripe Dotty Back. What a FANTASTIC hardy fish. Eats like a champ, it's like having a mini grouper. But its alone in my mini reef. It's super aggressive, but doesn't bother my GSP or Ricordia.

I'm actually using the same technique, but instead of screen I use acrylic (because I like to view my corals from the top) and on top of the acrylic I use a grocery plastic bag (semi transparent) it will diffuse the light, just put more layers if needed. The acrylic or the screen doesn't even have to fully enclosed the aquarium just need some space where the light diffuser can sit on top.

I have increased from 40% acclimation as some of my corals were stretching for the light, been increasing slightly every couple days but keep thinking that I should be at least be adding back 2 t5’s
Was running 4 t5’s and led light previously and think the xr15’s won’t be enough and I won’t get the same growth…..however the tank looks amazing under the blue light 😁

Hey Tom, hope your well! Have you even run a calcium reactor? I have an algae reactor that I'm going to turn into a calcium reactor to run on my new build. I have never run one before but I have co2 bottles that I used for my freshwater tanks and figure they would be better used to grow corals. I like the idea of not needing to worry about salinity creeping up like it does with 2 part dosing etc etc. What are your thoughts on calcium reactors and also repurposing equipment that otherwise would be collecting dust?
