Ah what timing! I saw Joe Hisaishi conduct the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in concert this weekend, and heard this wonderful piece live (among many others). It was an amazing experience and I'm already nostalgic for it.

beautifully played!! I loved this childhood cartoon! xx. the music, story is so uplifting and nostalgic. i'd watch this with my little sisters over and over again and it never got boring. It even made us get into baking and like pies and cats even more. happy times.

This is one of my favorite songs from any Ghibli film that was around when I was young. I'm so happy to hear you play a performance for it! It sounds as beautiful as the first time I remember hearing it.

When listening to you play I really think that many people can learn to play piano like one can learn scores and play them or play by ear but it's a rare gift to transport the feelings and very core of the song. I didn't watch Kiki for years but I immediately imagined her and the music brought up all the happy and sad parts of the movie I didn't think about for such a long time. Keep up the good work :)
