AWS API Gateway Tutorial for Cloud API Developer | AWS API Gateway Explained with Examples

Amazon AWS API Gateway is an AWS service for creating, publishing, maintaining, monitoring, and securing REST, HTTP, and WebSocket APIs. API developers can create APIs that access AWS or other web services, as well as data stored in the AWS Cloud.

As an API Gateway API developer, you can create APIs for use in your own client applications. You can also make your APIs available to third-party app developers.

API Gateway creates RESTful APIs that:
1. Are HTTP-based.
2. Enable stateless client-server communication.
3. Implement standard HTTP methods such as GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE.

You can use HTTP APIs to send requests to AWS Lambda functions or to any publicly routable HTTP endpoint. For example, you can create an HTTP API that integrates with a Lambda function on the backend. When a client calls your API, API Gateway sends the request to the Lambda function and returns the function's response to the client.

API Gateway creates WebSocket APIs that:
1. Adhere to the WebSocket protocol, which enables stateful, full-duplex communication between client and server.
2. Route incoming messages based on message content.
