There are lot of corners cut by Chinese manufacturers. They may use a coating instead or a solid material. They may not do a thorough heat treating and tempering. A lot of times the tolerances are minutly out of spec.

I did a cheap compressor and turbine wheel upgrade on my GT3788VA that's on my powerstrok. Kept ruining bearings so I got a KC kit and it's been good but now it's leaking oil...I think its a seal from the China kit

Realistically don't think the American one is much better tho. It really comes down to the company garunteeing the manufacturing process...which no one does.

I think company make an initial set for marketing that is manufactured properly. To sell to influencers at trade shows like sema and then the manufacturing gets shipped overseas and tolerances and quality control go out the window
