5:46 love Kirk’s smile when he sees the audience vocalizing to the guitar. Such a beautiful moment

Anybody with depression can relate and fully appreciate this song. When I am feeling really depressed I somehow find my way to this some and it makes me feel better. Thank you Metallica for this kick ass song. The acoustical beginning is so damn powerful.

All of us grow
All of us getting older and older
And all of us will eventually die.
But the legacy that this band will leave behind is a tremendus gift for mankind..
Thank you Metallica!!

These guys have the coolest jobs. Imagine a life where you get to stand around playing Metallica songs for a living. Not bad. Not bad at all.

This concert was in support of a wonderful charity here in Toronto, The Daily Bread Food Bank. Despite being in the middle of a world tour, they kindly dropped in on our city to play for free, giving all proceeds to help folks in need. They didn't even mention this in the video description! Thank you Metallica, you are a true class act!!

I love when Kirk looks up to them all singing his riff and he smiles 5:47

Simply amazing how swiftly flawless James switches from acoustic to electric and back. Without missing the beat or a note. That's how good these guys are.

Life it seems to fade away
Drifting further everyday
Getting lost within myself
Nothing matters no one else
I have lost the will to live
Simply nothing more to give
There is nothing more for me
Need the end to set me free

Things not what they used to be
Missing one inside of me
Deathly loss this can't be real
Cannot stand this hell I feel
Emptiness is filling me
To the point of agony
Growing darkness taking dawn
I was me but now, he's gone

No one but me can save myself, but its too late
Now I can't think, think why I should even try

Yesterday seems as though it never existed
Death greets me warm, now I will just say goodbye
Goodbye

When Kirk started playing, I got emotional. Wiping tears away.

I'm 52 years old now, A life long fan!
I remember listening to this so many times in my 1985 Z-28 on a top of the line cassette in my old Pioneer Super Tuner, heading to the Monsters of Rock,
"I think it was the summer of 1988"
to see them at a place called Foxboro stadium, near Boston Ma.

This was by far the best performance Metallica has ever done. The solos were executed perfectly by Kirk, with an incredible amount of emotion and pain. James Hetfield's vocals sound better than they have in a long time, and Lars isn't doing stupid random fills, and his double bass sounded fantastic. I swear they have gotten much better with age, I can safely say this is probably better than the studio version.
