The only reason I keep up with the news in this crazy country is because of my stock investment, can’t wait for the new president to be decided so I can know where I stand.

I don't think I've ever seen the difference between the MAGA mentality and the non-MAGA mentality on display as succinctly as this interview, and the ensuing comments. It truly is two different realities.

Imagine Kamala giving an interview like this. Won’t ever happen

I bet Bloomberg was surprised by the audience.

I realized something after watching this. Trump communicates his points almost entirely anecdotally. And his supporters probably really relate to that kind of thinking. Everything is story about something that he heard, or a conversation he had with someone. I'm not even saying it's all a lie, it's just a very different way of expressing points than almost any other politician. And his base really seems to respond to it.

Is it just me or on the subject of tariffs, are people missing the subtle point that he made that tariffs are a powerful negotiating tool? He doesn't intend to apply 2, 000% tariffs. That's a negotiating tool to use leverage to get a better deal for the American people and companies that the economy and workforce rely on.

And, of course, arguably far more valuable and consequential than just getting money from other nations is creating the conditions in which companies will build their foundations in the United States.

When foreign governments subsidize scorched-earth undercutting of domestic companies, while tariffing USA astronomically, yes-- tariffs become an incredibly valuable negotiating tool to protect the prosperity of Americans. And people forget that the US economy is still a powerhouse with immense leverage, which makes this tactic viable. When Americans are prosperous, they like to live well, and they are willing to invest in quality of life, Which means they buy products more than countries with larger populations. That's a market nobody wants to be excluded from.

Immigration should be based on Skilled immigration like Europe, Canada Australia and New Zealand do. I'm also immigrant I won green card and came to the USA after all of the security and background check. I became US citizen after 2 month FBI background search. Lots of skilled workers want to come to the USA and we should allow them to come here legal ways, not passing the border and paying the human traficker

Trump is straight forward in answering with a lot of common sense. No hesitation at all. The boldness is in there. How can Harris handle this kind of situation?
