Todd shares insights about how archivists discovered and restored previously unseen footage for the Apollo 11 launch, and the painstaking task of matching that footage with NASA audio. Sure, Hollywood has made a big deal of large scale 'practical effects', it's difficult to compete with a Saturn V launch. Thoroughly recommend this movie, worth seeing in IMAX

What an unexpected delight. I know the team aspect of this movie but Mr. Miller is the man in the seat: THANK YOU. These are good times to get a great deal out of the raw material. My only personal concern is seeing this in the theater and mostly weeping through it all. I certainly will be getting home material. Plus i live in a small town and have to travel quite a bit to see this in a worthy venue. So the combo of all that travel and then to blubber like a fool is too much.

Since a lot of the commenters like this film, I also highly recommend the band Public Service Broadcasting album the Race for Space which is a musical tribute to the space race. Perfect if you're an Apollo fan like me. :)

It's kind of crazy that all this footage wasn't uncovered and utilized in 1989 for "For All Mankind".

One of my favorite memories of the movie was : After Armstrong’s soliloquy, he immediately goes into science mode by describing the surface of the moon. You just don’t get we see that side of the story that much.
