I wish the basebuilding RTS market would have had a similar transformation. Instead I still largely have to play 13-20 year old games for that since modern ones struggle to reach that level.

I think one of the very few things the first game does better. Is the the soundtrack.

Because lets admit it. The hive lord boss music from HD1 would fit perfectly for 7+ missions in HD2.

The exo suits were way stronger in hd1 specialy the patriot. you could use multiple of the same strategem and they could throw strategems too and could solo missions
