Jose, you are nice and positive. But I just started my adventure in investing in stocks and all I got so far is -30% of my savings. I don't cry. But I'm having a hard time sleeping. This fall is probably the best time to enter the market. But I did enter the market right before the fall, which is probably the worst. And the more I read about it, the more I understand this time it might take a few years to recover.

'Embedded chips' means microcontroller to me. Obviously the cost of microcontroller is. NVDA gpu's is miniscule, but consider everything we (and the rest if the world who buys them from us) make with them... and many US companies make (overseas and therefore import) them for manufacturers to put in everything from cars, washing machines and even coffee makers.

This says to me that the Trump administration may (only may, sadly) be grasping the idea that worldwide supply chains are so complex that they have to be a bit smarter about jamming a stick in the spokes, especially without thinking about it carefully, which has certainly been the case so far. We can only hope, but it seems the thinking on the semi equipment market (which you seem to have analyzed perfectly) is indicating the same thing... tariffs on imports that we need to encourage manufacting here is not such a slam dunk as they originally thought. There's more to consider than just making money (with tariffs) on everything that crosses our border.
