The can of worms you don't want to open is "What is a sports car" versus a sporty car.
In the U.S. and Canada my pick is the Chevy Corvair. Rear engined air cooled flat six, up to 180 hp, fun to drive and great brakes. 550 page parts catalog, at reasonable prices.

Interesting... In my garage at the moment - '65 Mustang 289 Coupe, '71 Triumph Stag MK I, '94 MG RV8 and for everyday a new Mercedes E220d estate AMG-Line, Night Edition, Premium Plus. Three V8's and a diesel, two manual's and two auto's. {perhaps a little too 'main-stream'?)

When I read the headline “most underrated sports car in the world “ my initial thought was, this is an impossibility as all sports cars are overrated and none underrated. But then I gave it a second thought and made myself a challenge, namely to identify some sports cars I believe could be underrated and poste them here in advance of seeing your video. I write “could be underrated” because with one exception I have newer driven in any cars on my list. So it’s almost as valid as picking fine wines from the look of their labels and the shape of their bottles.
Anyway here’s my list of underrated cars with sporty aspirations.

1: Marta 530

2 Autobianchi A 112 Abarth (My father have had a regular A112, it was a lovely tiny car believing it was a Ferrari 😃

3: Panhard 24 CT

4: BMW 700 coupe

5: Fiat X 1/9

So here I go. I am going to watch your video and hope that we have picked at least one identical cars. Let’s see
