For the risks after adenoidectomy they maybe minor bleeding from the nose or the mouth, it generally stops by itself, in very few patients the child may need to go back to theater and the nose fact. Most of the children have a bit of throat pain with subsides in a few days; they can be complications of general anesthesia 1 in 20 children can get ear discharge and infection after insertion of grommet which can be treated with medicines locally. Some long-term complication includes scaring of the ear drums which generally does not result in any hearing loss. Very few patients may end up with ear drum perforation which is generally addressed after the child grows up.

I got mine out when I was 6 Now in class I get ringing in my ear for hours But once they were gone I could chew with my mouth closed bc I can breathe from my nose I never wet the bed ever again and I stopped bumping into the wall
