I've been learning/teaching JS along with a 11 and 12 year old. It's been a great experience and I hope everyone at Khan continues to provide great, free teaching tools for education/fun!

"I also just love being around a community of people learning new things. I think it's got this addictive energy to it".

This energy is what brought me here! I initially joined Khan Academy for the Arts/History. I saw that I could get some much needed help with math and that brought me to Intro to Programming around 4 this morning. Needless to say, your Excited outfit gave me the giggles. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge & encourage others to learn.

Good luck to all of us, Pamela, everybody! And we do need many people correcting each other; this is so important everywhere. Looking forward to the course.

Learning to code in different programming languages is one of my favorite activities to do. Can't wait to work along side you and the rest of the Khan Academy community to  learn JavaScript. This summer is going to be one to remember I can tell:)

I am really excited to be learning a new program that is up with the times. I got a Computer Science Degree in 1989, but have done very little with it. I went back to school in 96 to get my Elementary Ed. Degree.  I still am very interested in computers and technology.  I am hoping to write some educational programs some day.

As a C++ programmer, I would like to point out that python is slower than java (which is slower than C++).
Python is a very easy to use programming language, although I prefer people to learn C++ or Java first. This is because C++ and Java have a more standard looking syntax.

JavaScript again this year? o.o Are we ever going to do Java or something? JavaScript seems like just animations and such, where Java allows you to understand programming more in depth, with classes and objects and etc.
