Yeesh. Took my wife nearly three years to get her US tourist visa. Colombian embassy just stopped taking appointments during Covid and built up a multi year backlog. We dated, entered union libre in Colombia, got engaged, and then married before she was able to book and attend her visa interview. The system showed cancellations, but it wouldn't allow us to book them because there were no biometric appointments cancelled which she had to complete first. So broken. So expensive.

My boyfriend did this with DMV appointments to get his liscense but instead of hiring someone he coded a script or something like that that would automatically scan the site and book the next one. Got 3 months down to 4 days

This is true of a lot of appointments- people cancel all the time - be diligent and you can get in!
