Canon played an Apple game by selling us old designed lenses. All the technology and materials used for the Type III lenses have been forgotten so they can remake type II & Type III lenses in the future. Taking more money from their clients, users and photographers alike. Its visionless as NIKON continues to make better gear, better lenses and cameras and will leave Canon behind.
