I found this to be very helpful and an excellently done tutorial! I'd like to see additional video for how to share tracks created in GarageBand on an iPad.

Why would you convert it is individual tracks when you can just open up that session inside of ProTools? I don’t get this. I hope that it does work the way I was told and I don’t have to try this way

I forgot how used to make my tracks the same length. I'd highlight all tracks, add track lock, then play everything from the beginning. Something like that.

Hey thanks so much! Very helpful. I was wondering if you need to flatten all the EQ’s or take off any effects before you export? Cheers

Can you just highlight and choice all the tracks that you want to export??

I think the best is to export them in the wave format, but strange that you don't have that option there...?

Good tip, but how can I pass a midi file from garageband to guitar pro 6, they seem not to be compatible. These are the files that gp accept: midi, ascii, musicxml, powertab and tabledit, on the other hand gb only exports AAC, MP3 and AIFF. Can somebody help me with this one?. Thanks in advanced.

if all the tracks have been mixed volume wise, when you export each individual track, do you need to do anything with the volume setting, i.e. bring all the individual tracks to 3/4 volume, without clipping of course, or do you leave it as it's mixed with the other tracks?

do you need to do the entire length of the instrument you're tracking out or just one loop? and do you start at the beginning even if the track doesn't come in for a few bars?

Thanks for making this video, very helpful. Wouldn't you want the volumes up and effects off so when mixing in protools it can be mixed properly? Or am I wrong ?
